Belfast — Nutrition Counselor Holly Noonan will offer a free talk titled, "The Grass-Fed Edge: Peace of Mind and a Healthy Body Through Pasture-Raised Local Meat" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 28, at Belfast Free Library,
In this program Noonan looks at the state of affairs in our modern food system and explains why Mainers, more than most Americans, can celebrate the supply of humanely raised animal products available locally. Farmers of pasture-raised animals are invited to join the conversation and share their views.
Noonan runs a nutrition counseling business in Camden that focuses on introducing people to new and interesting nutrient-dense foods, overcoming emotional eating challenges and encouraging a skeptical approach to nourishing one's self in today's food economy.
