Coinciding with the Maine Lobster Festival, author K. Stephens will talk about the subculture of Maine lobster fishermen and sign copies of her novel “The Ghost Trap” 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the Reading Corner in Rockland. Featured on MPBN’s Maine Things Considered” and Time Warner Cable’s “Maine Street,” Stephens’ novel is the haunting story of Jamie Eugley, a young lobsterman struggling with the grinding responsibilities of a head-injured fiancée and mounting trap wars. “The Ghost Trap” won several awards when it debuted last September including as a finalist in the Literary Fiction category of the National Best Books 2009 Awards, sponsored by USA Book News. |
