Author K. Stephens talks about subculture of Maine lobster fishermen

Coinciding with the Maine Lobster Festival, author K. Stephens will talk about the subculture of Maine lobster fishermen and sign copies of her novel “The Ghost Trap” 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the Reading Corner in Rockland. Featured on MPBN’s Maine Things Considered” and Time Warner Cable’s “Maine Street,” Stephens’ novel is the haunting story of Jamie Eugley, a young lobsterman struggling with the grinding responsibilities of a head-injured fiancée and mounting trap wars. “The Ghost Trap” won several awards when it debuted last September including as a finalist in the Literary Fiction category of the National Best Books 2009 Awards, sponsored by USA Book News.
