BELFAST (Nov 13): Have you had your flu shot this year? If not, you have four more opportunities to protect yourself for the upcoming flu season.
Flu shots will be offered to the public for $20 each at the Education Center at Waldo County General Hospital on the following Tuesdays:
- Nov. 18 from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.;
- Nov. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.;
- Dec. 2 from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.; and
- Dec. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Madyson Gray Fund - Madyson Gray is the beautiful 7-year-old daughter of Robert and Tracy Gray of Winterport, Maine. She is a delightful little girl with a very keen sense of humor, radiant smile and a giggle that is sure to warm your heart. Madyson attends school as a 2nd grade student at Leroy H. Smith Elementary School.
Madyson was born with a very rare form of Muscular Dystrophy that involves the mitochondria in her cells. This disorder affects her strength and her muscle tone. Her speech and vision are also affected. Madyson is unable to walk and has to use a wheelchair to get around.

The first Energizing a Community-Neighbor Warming Neighbor Community Weatherization Day held on Saturday, October 25 was a great success! 40 volunteers weatherized 18 homes in the towns of Albion, Burnham, Freedom, Knox, Montville, Troy, Thorndike and Unity. Energizing a Community hopes to provide resources, education, support, and encouragement to all homeowners in all of these towns so that as a community we can reduce our energy costs and consumption, maximize our fuel efficiency, and explore energy independence. |
